Flushing Air Conditioning
I would like to delete the whole air conditioning installation on a 1980 SC. It doesn't really cool down much but I assume that there is still some refrigerant in the circuit.
Is there an easy way to flush the system so that I can start disassembling all the components safely? |

The responsible answer would be to take it to a shop to have the system evacuated before opening it up to recycle the R12 or other refrigerant. If the system is empty already, you probably can just disassemble it.

It turned out that there was almost no pressure inside the system so everything has been straightforward.
A few kilos saved on the car today! |

Are you selling the system that you removed?

No, I'm keeping it in case I sell the car in the future. Sorry.
