Quick question for Dennis/Timmy2

Dennis (or others in the know), can you tell me the destination of this red/White and brown female connector on the driver side of the engine harness of my USA 82 SC Coupe, please? Bentley shows red/white in both A/C and defroster circuits. I dropped my motor to do a gearbox fix, so I’m just giving the motor a look over and found this connector not connected to anything. My car works fine but not the rear window DEF grid...related? Much appreciated, John in CThttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1515871118.jpg

It was used on 78/79 then discontinued.

Thermotime valve..........

That connector was for ‘78-‘79 SC’s TTV (thermotime valve). The TTV was eliminated in the ‘80-‘83 CIS with lambda (OXS) and still used in the ‘80-‘83 CIS RoW/Euro (w/o OXS).

My '80 has one just like it.

Mine too it's usually just taped up and laying around not used.

Here's the last time I saw mine... I asked the same question.

Looks like Tony answered your question.
Not used on cars from 1980 and newer with Lambda systems.
It is used on ROW cars.
Easier to produce just one style of harness for both.
