G50 Ring Gear Part No. Q

Hey,

I need a new ring gear for an 1988 911. Do I want

950-116-143-05

or the apparently wider and better (even know the part number is a lesser one)

950-116-143-01

PS: expect more posts from me later asking similar things as I am going to disassemble and reassemble my 911 this winter. I trying to come up with a comprehensive shopping list ahead of time.

The 01 version seems to be NLA. The 05 version seems to be the current one for an 88 Carrera 3.2, but I can't get it associated with a specific model when I look it up. I'd call a dealer parts guy, with your VIN in hand, and ask for the correct part. Good luck!
