Question Targa band paint

I'm planning to paint the Targa band on my '81 SC. What type of black should be used? Semi-gloss? Semi-flat? Flat? (Didn't have this problem on my old '75, y'know?)

Give the folks at carcareonline a call. They carry several varieties of Wurth paint - they'll know which is the closest to the OEM finish.

Thanks--of all my P-car sources, that's one I didn't have!

I believe it is Wurth Satin - if its now scratched, you might try some 3M Hand Glaze, followed by a coat of wax and see if that brings it back (worked wonders on my '85 Targa).

FYI, they recommend 3M Hand Glaze and a coat of wax for the fuchs as well (the Fuchs on the other hand use the Matt Lacquer (higher temperature capability).

The stuff you need is Wurth's "Satin Trim Paint".
