San Diego PPI recommendations?

Hello, I am looking for recommendations for a PPI in the San Diego area.

From a 10 minute search, I have found Performance Porsche which is closer to downtown and Black Forest in Fallbrook. Both of these shops seem to have positive comments though the car is located closer to Performance.

The car has been recently serviced at Performance Porsche including a compression check so they are familiar with this particular car.

PRO is in Burbank, not SD.

I would go to Black Forest or Mirage. I generally avoid the shop that worked on the car but that’s not a universal.

I was in Performance Porsche the first part of the month. The owner was stressed out for good reason. There were cars packed in the work area, in the driveway into the shop, on the street in front of the shop, and a couple parked across the street. I was going to bring my car in but delayed it until the end of the month. I'd also trust Black Forest or Mirage. I didn't know about Tyson Schmidt in the area.
Edit: Just went on line & couldn't find PRO motor sports or Tyson Schmidt.

They are in BURBANK. Very reputible shop. But nowhere near SD.

Lots of good shops in San Diego: Mirage in Miramar, Performance in Mission Gorge, and Black Forest in Kearney Mesa are all good options.

Steve G at Black Forest is fantastic. I would also recommend Makellos Classics in Escondido. Tom and Mark are top notch. It's where I have my cars serviced.

Both Performance Porsche and Black Forest aren’t available
On weekends for PPIs.

The car does have a recent service work from Performance showing good compression in all
cylinders though

Jae at Mirage Int has been our guru on the turbo build. He built my bottom end. Really excellent shop, great person, honest prices.

I’d also add Glenn Roberts at Personalized ******** (Wayne Baker’s shop)to that list. They are off Miramar Road and I’ve been a happy customer for 15 years.

If in north Sandy Ego, John Chambers is a veteran Porsche racer and service guy. Hosts a swap meet and a great guy. If you wish to focus on body work and then mechanical, call Mark at Qualtek on Market street. Both have treated many and myself well and I endorse them.
