What does a replacement SC Targa rear window cost?

I have a 81SC Targa project and it came with a few extra parts including a rear glass window.

I was thinking of selling off the window if it is worth something to hel fund some the other parts it will take to get the car back on the road.

Is the Targa rear glass different than the Coupe (I’m assuming so) and are replacement rear windows easy to come by or is this a valuable part to sell off?

It's valuable for sure, although I can't suggest a price range

Shipping the targa glass is a huge pain.

Really nothing. It's pretty much worth whatever someone will pay. The original in my car is very scratched, and the defroster is smoked. I was looking for one, and a Pelican on here put one up for FREE in San Diego (where I was living at the time). It was up for awhile, and no one responded except me (this was five years ago). I got it and it's mint. I have been very careful moving it. It would be impossible to ship.

It's really only worth $100 local pickup probably.

Well all I can tell you is that when I did a resto of my car last year, I was told that replacing the rear glass would be prohibitively expensive.

Where are you? This guy could use it :

SC Coupe door on a 74 targa? Repair X's pickaxe damage.

Well, I’m in the SF Bay Area so seems that a lot of these cars live here. I agree that I’d want to avoid shipping.

A quick search of the for sale here finds these three windows offered in the past 6 months.

Well, doesn’t seem like it will pay a mortgage payment. It’s invaluable if you need it and worth nothing if you don’t. Typical.

I wonder if the stainless steel Targa trim cover I have is worth something then? I should probably search the classifieds and see. At least that would be easier to ship.

I took a half dozen to the dump not long ago. Nobody wanted them.

Dang, they seem to be cheap. Must mean they hold up well!

I guess I should see what the earlier generation stainless Targa trim cover goes for. PO left one of those as well.

I checked with Al's Auto Glass in Spokane and he quoted me $400 for a new replacement. Not original Porsche glass though.
