OK to store a 911 engine on a Harbor Freight wheeled dolly?
I have a 2.7 L that I’m bringing home tomorrow and need to store it for a little bit in the garage, any issues with just sticking it on a harbor freight wheel dolly?
Any better, or clever, ideas? Thanks!

Dolly
I have used the HF heavy duty dolly and it seems to work fine.
I prefer the HF hydraulic cart. It makes it easy to load on a truck, workbench or engine stand. You can also use it to install the engine. Just my $.02. Cheers, Louie

the cheapo one's wheels are too small and hard. better served making one from 2x6, a larger diameter, & softer caster wheels. I had my motor on one of the units I describe and it was a pain to move around. any little pebble, or the like would stop the wheel, the control joints in the garage floor may have well have been a curb cause the small wheels would not traverse it effectively. it was also too low to get the floor jack under for reinstall or out once the motor was dropped.
I built one for motor drops and storage when out of 2x6 as I noted and with the bigger wheels and putting the long dimension boards on the bottom of the frame, the cross members on the top and the FJ moved in & out freely. let me know if a photo might help. lastly, the motor sits waaay more effectively with the heat exchangers in place.

I modded a harbor freight cart so I can slide my jack underneath. I've left the motor on it for a few weeks. The small wheels mean you do have to be a little careful moving it if your garage floor isn't great, but other than that gets the job done.

I use them all the time. small ones for transmission. small or large for engine. Large for full drivetrain. I have a smooth floor so wheels are not an issue. Besides, it forces you to sweep the floor as needed.
