Coastr, I my case the bank and paypal accepted the transaction. It came off my account. Pelican refused to conclude the purchase and THEY processed the refund

I've almost rebuilt 2 cars fully by ordering online.. the only merchant I rarely deal with is Pelican because getting a shipping quote takes a ridiculously long time and the payment process isn't smooth..

I have dealt with many-many customers and also sellers for my Porsches over 15 years, including Africa (Togo, Ghana) and I got stiffed once and the guy was from USA In 924board, offered 931 cylinder head as a response to my WTB thread. It was in 2007 iirc. Lost 650 usd total.

Dan (ideola) also knew that guy and collected information about the douchebag.

I ship my PnP ECU kist for Porsche via registered mail, so far all of them have arrived over the years though several have been delayed by some dumbass country's customs (Italy is one of the worst).
I only accept bank transfer either directly or via Transferwise (cheaper and faster than regular bank transfer). Paypal treats Estonia as a ****hole country and only allows to withdraw to credit card (=useless to me) and robs huge amounts with fees and currency conversions to euro (both during transaction and then during withdraw).
Additionally when you withdraw sum bigger than few hundred they limit the account and demand all sorts of information even though you just provided it few days earlier. Why should I support such a bunch of thieves?

I've bought a few items direct from UK... but as far as selling to international buyers outside of the US... I will NEVER sell to anyone living in Russia. Anything that gets shipped there enters a 'black hole'... and somehow Russians ALWAYS find ways to scam sellers.
I've lost some valuable items I have sold through Ebay, and Ebay/PayPal ALWAYS takes the side of the buyer!!!!!
