Thread and Pitch size for Transaxle to case bolts
Did a search no dice, trying to fashion my own system to mount a re-build project motor to my engine stand.
Was thinking about using metric all thread and some 4" 5/8" OD metal tubes to extend the case from the stand. Hope the local hardware store has the correct metic thread. Last edited by ARCSinAK; 01-28-2018 at 01:57 PM.. |

Last time I checked they are M10 x 1.5P
The studs are threaded into the engine case - so if you are mounting the engine case to your engine stand you will need to use a stud / bolt with the correct thread size. Be careful if you are trying to fit the engine to a generic engine stand with the 4 arms. It can be done but you will likely need to space the engine out from the arms to clear the clutch / flywheel assembly. You can fashion some spacer tubes up out of some 1/2" pipe but you probably want to spread the load over the back of the engine case with some thick / large diameter washers. BTW - Our host sells the correct yoke that engages with the spigot for the transaxle and will fit most generic engine stands - see link. https://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearch/pel_search_2016.cgi?command=DWsearch&description=p201
