The Porsche Effect at The Petersen Automotive Museum

If you're a Porsche enthusiast, and all of you are, then visiting the Petersen museum for their 'Porsche Effect' exhibit, starting Feb. 3rd is likely high on your list - maybe even a priority.

"We are looking forward to sharing the story of Porsche through rare and seldom-seen artifacts and display elements, in addition to some of the most iconic cars of all time,” said Klaus Zellmer, president and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.

There are too many incredible cars to list that will be exhibited, click here for the article and full list!

What are you most looking forward to seeing?

OK, something I don't understand: once the regular exhibit opens on Sat, Feb 3, is it a regular part of the museum (at least for the next few months)? As in, does a regular general admission ticket to the museum get me in to see these Porsches? Or do I have to buy a separate ticket, like I do for one of the vault tours? I keep getting emails from the Petersen, imploring me to buy tickets because they're of limited availability.

No way I'm doing the pre-opening reception, as much as I like Tommy Kendall. Tix are $356 for regular entry, and $911 for a VIP ticket.

Look at the bright side, tickets could have been $991.

It seems that a GA ticket also gets you access to this exhibit.

That's my understanding. Maybe for the opening night tickets are limited (and this Saturday is probably going to be packed due to it being the first day and the Porsche Cruise-In), but I can't imagine there being a problem with access over the long run.
