Air sensor boot brand: OEM vs. Porsche

Normally I try to stick with Porsche seals and rubber bits when possible for fitment reasons. In this case the Porsche boot that sits on top of the CIS is nearly 2x the price of OEM.

Does anyone have any experience with the OEM air sensor boot and it’s fit?

Thanks in advance.

As long as it's not URO parts, it's probably fine. It's just a rubber boot. You can probably find a good used one. If a used one hasn't cracked already, it's probably good for another 30 years. I've bought several used ones.

What model year is your engine? I have boxes of CIS components including the rubber boot for the metering unit and throttle body. PM me your email address and will send you some pictures.

R o c k a u t o has a URO part that is $50.79. 93011035805 (1981, right?)

I don't like that brand. I'd rather try to fab my own out of cardboard and duct tape.

Looking forward to feedback from those who know.
