Weber 40 ID needed ...
After a day in a freezing barn I emerged having found what I was looking for: a pair of Weber 40's. Something I've long wanted for a 2.2 motor I'm building.
Does anyone know what year these are intended for? - I'd love more about them.

Zoom in on the stamping directly under Weber Tipo. That will tell us.

Matt, Thank you. Any idea if I can use these with my 2.2 successfully? - My very basic understanding is that the Weber's are fairly usable across the smaller displacement motors.

According to Paul Abbott, when you go over 2l they don't transition well. I would read up on his website:

No problem on a 2,2T.

Those are from 1969 911T, not 914/6. 914/6 would be 40IDTP13C & C1.
Those probably have 27mm venturis, you can run them that way or install 30mm main venturis without much issue, main jets will need to be increased in size. There are ways to help transition that are not too difficult. Bolt them on & run your new motor with them & then determine what your needs are. Check jetting of all components to know what you have before running the new motor and make sure all is compatible.
