Door lock release cable

While doing an interior door panel swap I ran into a problem where the lock release cable popped out of the receiver while connecting the interior door handle. Picture attached. Question, is the receiver the same plastic piece that is used on the handle connection?

Thanks

Dan

Thanks Ivan, I am thinking that as long as I am in there I might as well replace the clip.

I think the part is nylon of some sort and it gets very brittle with age. I would buy several since they are cheap and replace all of them as you have the cards off. I also pulled the cable and cleaned and lubed it. Bit of a pain but worth the effort IMHO.
