there are different colors and Option-codes M97,M98,M99 for different countries.

but 500 went to the US (300 coupes,200 cabriolets)
400 in silver (240coupes/160 Cabriolets)
100 in Satin-black (60 coupes/40 Cabriolets)

I know about 80 CEs worldwide listed by VIN..
and i saw maybe 40 over the net or in the streets..without getting a reply or a contact.
I know about 4 wrecked and maybe one rebuild as a 964.

Its only my search over 4 years.
.incl USA (pelicans) 30 cars
germany, switzerland, austria over 60 CEs some with US VIN

I did not search a lot in France , Italy or UK

I think there are a lot of cars left from the 875 pieces.

Of the 875 produced, I believe 5 were sent to Australia.

My coupe is one of the five Australian delivered cars.

cheers,

Mine is "special" since she's mine (and I've put a lot of "fun work" into her) , but I don't consider them rare at all and have seen quite a few "for sale" on these boards over the years.

10.000 911 built in 1988- every 10th car is a diamondblue CE, maybe the same number of red, white, blue,black.....are produced...not very rare...
but 49.629 produced from 84-89..
so 875 is less than a speedster

Not that significant a CE and pleanty to go around so there is little to no premium in the price

Hi lucky911, and welcome (I see it's your first post).

That's a lovely targa you have there. And nice to see another CE join the forum.

You must have a very low legal driving limit over there in the Netherlands or you are just older than you look

cheers

Never too young

Ufortunately you are right we also have 18 as limit (and even worse speed limits and an active speed radar squad), but with karting my son already keeps up good track times.

I have one question regarding the CE version (sometimes called jubillee) are the center caps of the Fuchs wheels supposed to be in diamond blue or as full colout porsche emblem?

The official CE brochure clearly shows them as Diamond Blue.

If you are interested in the CE brochure you can search "Commemorative Edition" and you should find it and a lot more information.

I would post the brochure again for you but not sure how to post PDF files.

cheers,

I scanned the CE brochure a few years ago and have sent it to a few fellow CE owners. PM me you're email address (I don't think you'd want to post your email on this thread), and I'll be glad to send it.

Hello to all you interested in the 1988 25th anniversary signature edition Porsche.

I found this forum by accident. I was talking to someone at work about my car and goggled it to see if I could find a picture of it. I was amazed to see all the interest in this specific model.

I am the origional owner of my car . I have the origional window sticker and even the key (including the key wallet to protect your pants pocket) it
is really a cool key.

As I said I have owned the car since it was taken off the delivery truck at Paul Miller Porsche in Parcippany NY . One of the largest dealers in the US and probably the largest on the east coast.

I know this car inside and out and will answer any questions any has as to what is included with the model ...BTW as for the interior it was included with the 25th anniversary package not an option. The interior is what really makes the car special ...no spoilers were part of the package , 15 " wheels are a must and the only badge on the car is the porsche logo on the front hood ...the typical "carrera" badge on the rear was omitted because the intent of the car was to replicate the origional 1963 car that was shown at the Paris auto show.

As for my cars condition ... almost perfect ... the car is currently in storage (climate controlled ) in NC. with ~ 16,500 ORIGINAL miles ... I have documentation for anything that was ever done to the car since I bought it ...

I scaned a picture of my car here ... I have a number of pictures of the car on film from when i purchased it ...I plan to retire in the next year or 2 and then i will finally get to drive this car often. Any one that wants to talk about these cars feel free to write me I love the car but hate to bore people with conversation about it since many people don't understand them .

My email is bobrows@yahoo.com

Hi Bob, welcome to the board.

Nice car.

Is this an diamondblue signature seats car?

Than it is the comemmorative edition CE
250.000th Porsche 911 from 1987,

not the 25th anniversary edition. Thats a different car from 1988/89 .

Do you have the badge on the glove department door?

Jo
