Can a 964 / 993 HVAC unit be mounted in SC ?
It seems difficult to find threads around this topic.
Can a 964 / 993 HVAC unit be mounted in SC ? - With the question "To be mounted" i'm just interested in to know if there is enough room for this unit in between the luggage compartment floor and the scuttle panel or not ? I'm considering to built a 12V A/C system to fit a non A/C G-model car, and i'm not interested in any aftermarket retrofit kit's - i want to build something which is a combo of some original Porsche parts, other OEM parts, and design the rest my self for propper fit and function. The bulkhead shape is completely different - the SC bulges into the frunk which would prevent the 964 unit from pushing back. The brake booster mounting is in the way and there is a very specific twin letter box opening on the 964 to distribute the air. Fuel filler tube would clash with the LH fan.
Not sure about Denmark, but in the UK, if you cut or change a bulkhead, the car would fail its inspection as it is regarded as structural.
