The lip on my fuchs has some discolouration. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. When I lightly take a bit of metal polish to it the discoloured area turns to a mirror polish very quickly and the rest appears unaffected. Am I correct in assuming my anodized finish is coming off? If so, what are my options. I have also been giving serious thought to returning the wheels to their original GP white colour. A PO painted them black.

Hard to tell but there is a spot there that is almost a mirror finish. The rest is unaffected.
