1970 911 T mystery disconnected hose

I am a newbie and started working on adjusting the carbs on my 1970 T when I noticed a hose 1 of 2 coming from the front of the car into the rear engine compartment that was not connected to anything. I can't figure out what it is for or where it goes. See attached picture. Any advice?

I thought there is only one hose attached to the back of the air filter housing, that hose is the disconnected breather hose in top right of the picture. You are saying this other hose also attaches to the back of the air filter housing?

Here's the straight skinny. Using pic in post #2. Air cleaner housing can be metal or most likely plastic. In either case it should have the connections shown in the pic. The small hose you are concerned with attaches to the small pipe on the elbow connector. Other end goes to the charcoal filter up front. Big end of elbow goes to oil tank. Small pipe on bottom of air cleaner is connected to a tube/pipe mounted through a hole in right rear engine tin.
If you have an air cleaner housing with only one connection at the elbow you have the wrong housing for a 70T.

Got it, just took a couple bad photos of the spot I believe you are referring to where this hose should be connected. The air cleaner housing does have this elbow with larger oil breather hose end and smaller connector with nothing attached. Sounds like if I just clamp this hose down to that smaller end I should be good to go?
