Should I spring for a new fan?

So I'm getting ready to ceramic coat my fan and housing, plus refinishing the engine tinware either by powdercoat or ceramic. Took the fan apart for the first time in the four years I've had the car to find some chunks missing from the backside of a couple blades. Not really noticeable when installed. I know this isn't uncommon, but I'm a bit unsure I want to put money into refurbing a fan that isn't quite whole. On the other hand I know what new fans cost...

Anyone who has been here, please share the words of wisdom.

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.
