Angry OK, Where is that nasty seat belt buzzer, EXACTLY!!!

My 1983 911 SC shop manual describes the wiring, but doesn't tell me where the damn buzzer is. I've been reaching behind the dash from inside the car and from the trunk, but no luck. Does anyone know EXACTLY where this little beast lives?

Moses, with your finger tips, pull out the fuel/oil tank gauge.
When you get it out you'll see three tall relays. Pull out the noisy one ...............
One in the back. Turn signal. One left, closest to you, seat belt relay. One on the right, washer relay.

Good Luck .....................

Thanks, Cary!

I'll kill that buzzer yet!

How are things in Montana? Too bad you have a speed limit now (or were you "grandfathered in"?)

Thanks again!

You can grab it from the front trunk too...or that's how I found mine. Follow the buzz, feel the buzz, and yank!

On the right side (looking toward the car from the front).

Would this be the in same location for a 74? I can hear mine even while driving! If I pull up on the e brake one click it stops. Can you just pull it out? Does it effect anything else?

Not that I neccesarily want it louder, but I'm trying to bring everything about my '74 back to like new condition. My buzzer sounds awfully anemic...do they get quieter as they age? Were they originally louder like more contemporary cars? If I'm going to have it working, I'd rather it not sound like a sick rabbit.

I found going through the trunk to be easier. There are a couple of other relays in the general area but I remember it to be the taller black one about 1 inch square.

Amazing the difference starting the car/opening the door etc without having to listen to the noise. Almost like being treated as an adult. Good luck finding it, you will not be disappointed.
