Hi all,
I have a new gremlin in the car. My passenger side overhead interior light. It works fine in the middle position when a door is opened or closed, but if you attempt to turn it on manually with door closed it turns on but very dimly and I hear a strange buzzing sound that seems to originate behind my dash...muahhmuahh! What the hell is this all about? Ryan

If you haven' t already, you might try poping the light out and seeing how it functions when it is loose. I had a problem where one of the lights in my '87 coupe was getting grounded when it should not be. The lights were on in the middle postion whether the doors were open or closed and the key buzzer buzzed constantly.
After checking many other things, ie. door pins, alarm connections, etc., I pulled the light out and everything worked fine with it loose. I bent one of the connectors down that was apartnetly making contact with the body and everything is good now.
