Help identifying this alternator
 

My '74 Carrrera came to me (the 5th or 6th owner) with the pictured alternator. I replaced it with a bigger one so I can install Vintage A/C. Is this worth anything? It was professionally tested and puts out 60 amps. I find no numbers on the case and would like to sell it on eBay. What else does this fit? Is the small crack in the case at about 4 o'clock hurt it's value.? Any help in ID'ing this would be much appreciated. thanx stevehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1518891932.jpg

Hi Steve i forgot ,you are in so California?The crack is pretty bad..i would have it fixed first to get some doe for it...looks like old Bosh 0120400522 alternator...

thanx so much Ivan. there's a crack on the bracket, but the bracket can be replaced. you're talking about the crack in the case, right? thanx again. steve

yup the crack on case.i`ve asked if you are in CA because i know a good shop there ,they could have the cracked piece....after close look is it a crack??neas the center of the bearing?On 1st pic...?

i can send you a phone number for the shop in LA, you can call them and maybe they have the face piece for this alternator.If it is nice shape you can get nice $$ for it .

i am waiting for feedback ..they`ve moved ..no wonder last time i was there was 9 years ago.
They have ebay store but that is pain in a but to talk..... i will let you know asap...

Hi Rutager..i use to sell these for big bucks...and they still go for $400 if they are original alternators,
or am I missing something?
trash cans i used to use a a gool-can when i played hockey in Santa Monica beach parking lot;-)

now we're getting to the heart of the matter...it has no numbers, nor markings on it. highly unlikely to be original nor of much value, I wouldn't think. comments? thanx. s
