Identifying wheel type
Hi gang - I'm a total wheel noob, but I'm starting the process of ripping out my suspension and restoration/upgrade... It's got me thinking about wheels. Currently I have an 86 Carrera with 16" Fuchs 7Front and 8rear. I rolled the fenders when I had the body stripped down to metal, and would like to go 8F and 9R.
I saw these rims recently and fell in love. Like I said, I'm a wheel noob. Anyone know what these are?? I love the deep dish look. ![]() ![]() |

RSR/RSR replicas? I think D-Zug and Forgeline, among others, made some.

Yeah, has a 917 vibe to it. I can’t find anything like them for sale.

Won't you need to change out the hubs on the car to accept them?

If you look at the pic you will see the lug nuts seem to have covers, but theya re 5 lug wheels. The center lock nut is the wheel center cap.....great look. I too want something like those (917 style). 52Fifiteen makes some, but they look right in 15”. Above that they make teh xtra size (16”, 17”, 18” etc) up in the barrel, not the spokes. To my eye that looks goofy.

Duc - Agreed on the Fifteen52. I also like the spoke depth of these, with plenty of open space between spokes. This car belongs to Bill MacEachern, the 725k mile Porsche guy. If someone knows if he's on Pelican, I'd love to find out where these were made.
