I have no clue what was there
 

Hi everyone, I have an issue, and maybe somebody here knows the answer.

So, in my 75' 911S Targa, I have a hole (a button is missing) in my dashboard, but I don't know what could be in that place. As you can see from pics below, has been like that from factory, so no a diy job.

The exact location, is between steering wheel (on the left side), and fan/ventilation settings on the right side.

See below the pics, what could be there?

in my '74 it's a potentiometer to adjust the intermittent wipers...

this should be, thanks a lot!
I saw in some pics something like a wiper, but not thinking that could be a potentiometer.
