Challanger Sissor lift
Does anyone have a Challenger midrise sissor lift. If so how do like it. How high does it lift. Looks like from its specs it has a slightly higher lift capacity than others. Any brands of sissors lifts made in the USA anymore. Thanks Jerry

Jerry how are you doing? There's a couple Snap on lifts available on Craigslist in our area.
Let me know if I can do anything to help you out. |

Hanging in there, Dave, thanks for asking. Just got back on Pelican since Sept. after this whole ordeal began. Got to think of all the plans I had to keep me going. I will take a look at those lifts. Thanks for your concern and help, Jerry

From their website: selling you the lift is only offering a 1 year limited warranty are the products they are selling as good as they say they are? Wouldn't You Rather Deal with a Company That: Manufacturers and assembles their car lifts on site Keeps at least 400 units in stock and ready to go at a moment’s notice Employs their own engineers Performs ongoing product testing Maintains all replacement parts on site Whose manufacturing facility is ISO 9001 and CE Certified for automotive lifts Whose hydraulic lifts are steel blast finished prior to a 9 step chemical dip process then powder coated Who carries lift product liability insurance of over $5,000,000 with a Canadian Underwriter Who gives you the best warranty in the business with lifetime parts warranty on the cylinder Who stands behind everything they sell

Just had my 4 post installed from lift super store in Oakville. Seems good, 80% China the motor pump and cylinder North American made. Turns out that means Mexico so probably 0% Canadian content.
However most of my clothing and likely a good portion of my food comes from China also

Glad to see you back on Pelican site Jerry. That’s a good sign. Dave has a nice snap on mid rise lift, saw it in his garage. Everett has one as well, has a Mustang on it now doing some mechanical work. Got the Carrera back on the road, at Everett’s on the lift removed the rack and pinion, sent it out for rebuild. Should have it back in about a week. What a pia! I’ll call you this weekend.

This is the SnapOn lift mentioned above; also sold under the John Bean brand, manufactured by Wheeltronic. Nice unit but only has one position for its safety latch; I like mine very much. Out of production now. Rotary used to make some nice parallelogram mid-rise lifts too; about 46” lift height. The ultimate IMHO was made by Mohawk...special because it lifted the car to something like 6’. I like American made units as much as anything for the quality of the steel and that of the hydraulics. Keeping a close eye on Craigslist is key. Best of luck in your search, John in CT.
