Favourite Subject - Headers...

I read a lot about SSI is the way to go & GHL/B&B are way better than the stock headers. But most of the discussion seems to center around a NA 911.

In BA's book, it actually alludes to the use of post-86 factory header as they are actually good.

So for all 930 experts - what's your opinion? Is it worth spending $$$ to upgrade the factory header from a post-86 car to GHL/B&B/ ???

thanks...

Hi Patrick - replacing the stock headers on a 930 with a GHL or B&B setup is a great upgrade. The 86-89 headers are a good upgrade for the older cars that use thermal reactors (pre 78 I believe), but your 87 930 will gain quite a bit of low end responsiveness and quicker turbo spool from after market headers. I have GHL headers on my 86 930 and the difference was quite noticeable.

Patrick,
Headers will make you a happy man.
I run B&B, GHL is also a good set.
You should be able to deal a bit with
your supplier, the starting price was $2,050.00
and I got it down to $1,650.00 with the install
Kit. (Pelican sells them)
Takes" Bling" to run in the fast lane!!
Good luck!
