3.2 muffler on SC

So I have the original 3.2 muffler bolted on my sc exhaust system,
but since the engine support is different, how do I proceed best?

The spacing on the welds is different, so I cannot mount the straps.
Do I just dremel new spacing?

The mufflers are the same with the exception of the recess for the Carrera heat tube.
The SC muffler hanger on the SC hangs down bolted to the engine console, the Carrera mount bolts to the lower engine mount ten mm studs facing up.

Hello Bruce,

the tabs on the engine mount are less wide than the recesses on the muffler.

If I would place the straps in the recesses on the 3.2 muffler, they would not make
contact at all with the muffler/engine mount. It is much narrower.

Ok, here is the differences, I never noticed. The top one is pre Carrera and the bottom is Carrera
