Unless your 87 is different than mine, there is no return from the filter. The line at the bottom of the filter is pressurized fuel from the front of the car, the line at the top of the filter is on it's way to the engine. The return line can be seen exiting the driver's side of the engine, it's a rubber line headed for a hard line underneath the cruise control. You may need to remove the air ducting on the left side to see all of these components. More importantly, why are you asking?

Porsche Crest

Here is a photo of the return hose:

It has a spiral protector as shown in the photo.

Hope this helps.

Porsche Crest Carrera 3.2

Bringing this back to the top, as I am being told after all these years this Return Line/Hose on the 3.2 Carrera is now starting to leak, and a new replacement from Porsche is NLA.

I can help with this. I have a temporary repair using a short E-85 rated hose and good Norma clamp.

However, the more permanent repair is to replace this hardline with one of my E-85 rated Hoses all the way to the Tunnel. I will post a photo when I can find it.

For info please email me.

Thanks, Len. Can the permanent repair be done with the motor in the car?
