2.4 question
Hi, I have some questions for the bulletin board. I have pulled the engine in my 1972 2.4 E for a rebuild. During the rebuild I have replaced the Engine with another 2.4 that I have. It is a Euro 2.4 T Engine 911/57. I had my mechanic replace the cams with a set of spare E cams that I have. I also replaced the Zeniths with a set of 40IDA'S pulled off a 2.4 S Engine I had a few years back, and used the sport muffler off of my E engine. My question is this? I realize that the T motor put out 130 HP stock, but I was wondering how much off a power gain I may have gotten with the cams, the Webers, and the sport muffler? The motor seems to have a quite a bit of low end punch. I plan on putting the E motor back in the Car after the rebuild, but I am just curious on the T motor. Thanks in advance for your answers.
