North Carolina Porsche shop

Hi guys, I have a 1975 911 and a 68 912. I am in Greensboro NC. I am looking for recommendations on the 1975 911. The motor was rebuilt by Carolina Speedwerks (defunct) and is in need of serious service. I'm willing to travel for good work. Can I get any recommendations for a 90 mile radius to Greensboro? Does anyone know where David Brown is these days (from Speedwerks) Thanks much

If you pm me your e-mail I can send you the porsche club approved technical inspector list which has every decent Porsche shop in NC listed. There are several in the Greensboro area that have built nice 911's that I see at the track and will see this weekend. If you are willing to look this list can be downloaded at Carolinas Region web-site or from the listing on Clubregistration.com for this weekends event at CMP.

NC has some very good 911 service options. Bruce Abbot in Spring Hope is a guru. As someone mentioned, Chuck Miller in Hillsborough, also a guru. European Performance in Durham and Raleigh is a good shop, taken great care of my car. Scott Gray at Triangle-Imports in Raleigh has rebuilt air cooled engines.

Charles over at C&C Eurosport off of Wendover is the only independent Porsche shop in Greensboro that I know of. I do all my own work but I've hung out in his shop and he knows his stuff.

I think you mean John Forbes / Cody Forbes. +1 for Charles at C&C as well.
