jack points on an 86

Can someone tell me where the jack points are on an 86 carrera. I was told that there are 4 brackets mounted on the bottom that were designed as jack points. I looked this morning and it's just not obvious to me or the golden retreiver.

I use a jack pad into the rocker panel hole for 90% of my Porsche lifting. If I need to lift the front, I usually lift on the aluminum front suspension beam (sorry I can't think of the correct name), after driving onto a 2x6 to raise it for jack clearance.

Are there lift points for the rear that do not include using a lift pad. The Bentley book makes reference to these points but does not show any picture.

The rocker panels have jack hole plugs where the factory jack works but you can also buy jack pads to help with a floor jack.
The torsion bar covers are a good place to put jack stands.

You ought to get waynes 101 book. It addresses this and many other things.

Also if you have your owners manual it tells the places that are safe to jack your car.

good luck

Those factory brackets didn't appear until late '86 or '87 model years. If you look in the manual, you will see the factory recommended jacking points.
