VDO clock issue ( after rebuild )
Hey everyone -
So I just got my clock back from a rebuild service and noticed that there is a lot of play in the center adjusting arm. ( left and right wiggle, up and down wiggle ) There is also a lot of play in the white clock arm and some in the glass if i wiggle the center adjusting arm. I don't remember any of this being there before i sent it off for a rebuild. Anyone else have this with their clock ? The clock does seem to be keeping accurate time. Here is a video : https://youtu.be/3Va3qVSzxAA thanks Kevin |
The video is not working...for me, anyways.
This guy could fix it....https://www.facebook.com/specialtygauge/ |
sorry - video should work now

I don't know...doesn't look right to me.
My 84 has a black plastic or rubber bushing that is in the gauge face. It keeps the stem rigid. Is yours missing? |
i have that -
I looked at it again..... its like the glass is not mounted tight , so the center adjuster and the glass are wiggling around together... ugh The clock is still keeping time after about 16 hours though .. |
I would pull the clock out. Look to see if something is wrong with the band that is around it.
Good luck..you'll get it fixed. |
Maybe the trim ring isn't properly seated.

thanks, Yep - I think something didn't seat correctly when the trim ring got reinstalled. :( The only thing to do now is send it back and have them redo it. Its clearly not right. Kevin |
Can you press the trim ring down any further?
