Tail color ?

I am putting a Carrera tail on my SC. Would satin black be the correct color for the grill area? Thanks

colour for the plastic grilles is black.

as UV light starts to deteriorate the plastic over time, the originall gloss gets lost and they seem to be matte.

when I "restored" mine, after cleaning, I pre painted it with paint bonder for plastic surfaces first, which smoothened it out a bit and then sprayed it satin black.

came out really nice.

I used Rustoleum Satin Black (#7777) on mine and also on the front grill that was a cut-down rear one.

Your front grill is interesting, is it actually a rear engine grill cut to fit the opening?

Hi,

Not sure what you mean by “grill area” but on my Carrera tail (930.512.023.00) the metal screen part is dark gray or black. Hard to tell if it’s painted or what... if you mean the vented part over the screen mine is gloss black (body color for me).
