Crankshaft pulley notches
Hi,
While reading the manual I have good understanding how to adjust the valves. My challenge starts with not having z1(I checked 100 times). With the help from the forum the second both to the left aligned with cylinder 1 on the distributor puts me at tdc, so far so good. Next is 120 degrees to the both to move to cylinder 6, guess what I don’t have these 120 degrees notches. While I made paper version of the crankshaft pulley and used to mark 120 degrees on the pulley, I find that the camshaft notches are not on the flat side for cylinder 6. Why are my options here? How can I know I’m at 120 from tdc? Mean the pulley be changed easily with one that has the notches? Meow would one go of the notches are gone with the wind? Thank you. P.s the only other markings I have is another set of double notches about 3cm to the right of the first pair, maybe those are my tdc and 5 btdc. Thank you

The first pair would be Z1 and 5 degrees
The second pair to the right would be 30 and 35 for advance timing.. You don’t have to be exactly on mark to set the valves but just off the backside of the lobe which is quite long on rotation. Bruce |

I thought I took some but my phone failed will do it again.
To add to my confusion some out the z1 to the right of the two notches some to the left. Mine is the same as the second photo without the 120 marks. ![]() ![]()
