Hi there,
I've missed my Excellence copy # 104. My local distributor can't help me. I've send a fax message to Ross Periodicals Inc., but they did not respond. Do they have a e-mail adress (I can't find it)? Thanks, -Kees. |

Although Excellence is a great mag, their staff seems quite unresponsive to reader inquiries. In the past, I've tried to contact them by fax and phone (no e-mail). They never answered the phone personally, and don't respond to fax either. My experience was different. I missed an issue a few months ago and called them. Somebody answered and sent out a replacement copy within a week! Maybe I caught them on a good day. -- Curt

When I first subscribed, they took FOREVER to get me my first issue to me, I called and after their double espresso latte break they got me my back issue and the current one.... |

Good magazine but terrible service.
They were mailing my issues to the wrong address (clearly *their* mistake) for almost 1 year. No responses to phone calls, faxes or letters. Asked them to correct the address or give me a refund. No response. No magazines. I finally gave up. Then, the first communications from them finally comes to the correct address - an invoice for subscription renewal!!! A couple more letters, many photocopies of past correspondence, etc. Finally things got settled - but after a whole year of missed magazines. Good luck! |

Put me among those giving a thumbs up to EXCELLENCE. Some time ago I got an issue with a "manufacturing defect"...a bunch of pages missing, some others simply reprinted and stuck in. Kind of like getting 1/2 the magazine twice. I phoned, explained the problem. 4 days later I had a perfect copy, sent priority mail. Maybe it just depends on who you get on the line when you call? Not all employees perform the same, a sad fact of the business world.

I've also had a good experience with Excellence. I always get a "little old lady" type who answers the phone, and is very helpful. They've always answered the phone when I've called.

I just got mine this week. I called to find out where it was, and they told me they had a problem with the address label maker or some sort. They expressed that it was on its way though. So it should be there soon.

Hey Doug...be nice to the folks at Excellence. They printed your Vasek Polak letter this month,(12-01, #107)even if they did give a basic "go search the archives" semi snotty reply...
BTW, let me know if you need copies of any of the previous articles that they reference in re Polak, Minter et al. Tim |
