my cars been nicked - i'm gutted

my neighbour comes knocking at 5.30am today.

my m/bikes been knocked on its side in the road and he stopped to give me a hand to lift it.

great theres oil all over the road - crank case is punctured.

as i start walking back to the house somethings not right - wtf?

wheres the frickin car?

i couldn't find my keys to unlock the front door, and it suddenly hits me. the b******s have nabbed all my house keys through the letter box (i kept them on a table inside the door). they've unlocked the front door and helped themselves to the car keys.

they knocked the bike getting the car.

12 hours later i still can't believe the cars gone.

the police said they've had a few up market cars stolen in the area.

i have had a right *****ty day.

so now i'm having a beer, cheers.

They fished your car keys off the hall table through the mail slot???
Bastards must have known something - no way they would take that approach without knowing what they were after.........is there?

Sorry to hear this news, man. The 'Oh yeah, that happens a lot' response from the local constabulary must have made you feel even better! Lets hope it is located quickly.

yikes, you always think it happens to other people, not you or a member of your family. Well, I guess the bright side is that after your experience you can find an even better car to replace the last. That'll show them.

I think Tony K is on to something. This person(s) has been in your house before to know about the keys.

This is so sad. Everyday I drive out of the neighborhood in my snow/salt Jeep, I am always worried I didn't close the garage door where the bike and 911 sleep for the winter.

Dickster, you got hit twice (the bike and 911), and I feel for you. I wish there were words to make you feel better, but know there are guys out there that feel your pain.

****, sorry to hear about that Richard!

Let's hope the police track your car down, older 911's aren't that common so fingers crossed.

Cheers

Anybody selling door to door lately? That is one easy way to check out what is in view when the homeowner opens the door. In your case, the keys. Someone had to have seen those keys there recently.
Good luck,

Hey man, feel your pain. I have had a car nabbed before. Felt like I had been raped or something. Just know that it all works out. Did you have good ins?

thanks for the words, i need cheering up.

the police and locksmith said its common for keys to go through the mail box. people just sling the keys down when they walk in through the front door. not no more.

the police said the fact that they got in the house but were only interested in the car keys shows they were only after the car.

maybe it will show up but i don't think so.

Hmm, I read it a couple times (and I can tell Dickster is f'ing pissed because the story jumps from one setting to another) and I think he means they fished his house keys through the mail slot, opened the front door, walked in and grabbed the keys to the 911 and then boned out with the car. That is f'ing nuts man, if anyone ever broke into my house I'd get up and shoot their sorry a$$ with my gun. I hope they find out who did it and you get your car back.
