If it was a 930 for 1975, the serial # would be a series 930 570 0011 – 0284. '75 Turbo's were ROW vehicles, it was introduced in the USA as a '76 model. The car pictured has USA bumper overrides. The dashboard is a later model 911, the tachometer has a boost gauge built in which was introduced on the '77 Turbo, the intercooler is for a 3.3 liter engine, the oil tank is from a newer 911, the rear reflector is wrong for a '75, the rear brake calipers are 3.3 Turbo, the front valance is for a newer 911 year, the headlight washers are wrong, there is a late model brake booster in the truck ('75 did not have boosted brakes) and there is a third brake light in the rear window which was introduced in later year 911's.
So, it is not a first generation 911 Turbo.

Banned but not out, yet..

Non original wheels, steering wheel, shift knob, gauge surrounds, seats, speakers and and... besides what dap posted, the car should not command an original non-moleted price.

Looks like someone wrecked a 3.3 turbo and moved everything over to a 75 911 chassis. Could be a good deal, but it’s no turbo Carrera.

My guess is that the only part that is actually from 1975 is the VIN plate, which is off a 75 911 Targa.

Looks like an 87 or 88 with a VIN swap.
Nothing points to this being an 85 or older car. All the little things, that no one would bother swapping into another chassis, are there. I would bet the original VIN is reported stolen or was otherwise hot at some point (case likely long closed though). Original number is probably behind the dash panel. Would be interesting to see what it says in the trunk, and under the dash. Usually they would not have been as thorough to scratch off the number under the dash. Could be drugs inside the smugglers box, door panels....? Last edited by FrenchToast; 03-19-2018 at 05:16 PM.. |

It's a likely real turbo. The rear brakes seem to be hanging in the correct spot....it's just not a Turbo Carrera. As other have said, it's likely a VIN-swapoppatumus.

It has an Andial IC that's a nice piece. It may not have enough crest stickers though so factor getting some ordered into the budget
