Braking Activates Front Left Parking Lamp

Facing a reflective window today I noticed that when I depressed the brake pedal my front left parking lamp comes on. I have not done anything to the wiring and the harness is original and unmolested. Any ideas?

Check all the grounds - ones in the front blinkers and rear tail light housings.

I’d clean all the sockets in the left taillight housing.

Second on a bad ground being the cause. The brake light is seeking a ground (to complete a circuit) via any available path - in this case, your park light circuit.

Replace your rear brake light bulbs with correct OE bulbs, seems illogical but it will solve the issue.

Thanks everyone. I used steel wool to clean bulb and socket then cleaned both with automotive electrical cleaner spray. At least for the time being it did the trick. When I depress the brake pedal the rear brake lights activate and the front parking lamps do not!
