Hoooly cow...Did you know there was this much rust hiding? It looked clean in the first photos!

What are the advantages of the welded-in front strut brace mounts as opposed to using the stock location with the 3 bolts?

I like the weld in cause your "bracing the body". I think its more rigid in the end, not just bracing the shocks/sturts.

I had no idea there was this kind of rust.
I do not claim to be a metal master, but for real, this has got to be the most body filler I have ever seen used on a car. I would bet there was over 3 gallons used.

Indeed, it looks more like sheetrock (the bondo..). Wear a mask when you remove it!
