Home Built By Jeff, Team Boosted

If anyone has not checked it out search "Home Built by Jeff" on YouTube. He has an amazing series of videos on his Porsche build and is a contributor to this forum. We should ALL be subscribing to his channel. He is not only smart but is quite funny and totally embodies what this hobby is all about. His channel should have 10X subs based on some of the other channels with 200K + followers.
The other channel I would recommend is "Team Boosted" it features two young guys in California that just finished a turbo conversion on an SC. May not be everyones cup of tea, but love seeing a new generation digging in and wrenching on Porsches. They just hit 10K subs.
Ironically both channels are also doing Datsun builds!
I have no affiliation with either channel just enjoy both and wanted to share.

Such a great series, I love the ideas he comes up with, quite a nice change of pace from the money no object stuff. I watched his series and a Singer video back to back, it was a great contrast:

Singer Video - "Here is the wiring loom we had custom made for $30K from NASA"

Jeffs Video - "Lets remove the fuel tank (All fuel spills out) oh *****, remove the fuel lines first!!!

I saw the thread title and thought jeff had decided to turbo the beetle, 911 or Datsun.

Jeff is around these parts...you might have summoned him.

Regular guy doing things in his shed and putting it out there for everyone to see. So much better than broadcast TV.

Agreed, I like the Singer stuff, to look at, but will probably never have the money to buy one. Seeing what Jeff and the Team Boosted guys can do in a small home shop with limited equipment is always amazing and motivational.

Agreed and glad you posted this. I like Jeff's output so much because on the one hand he doesn't take himself too seriously, yet is doing excellent work and partnering with the best of SoCal shops for his engine. He also shows his kock-ups and is clearly an original thinker and problem solver. Thanks, John in CT.

I just started watching Home Built by Jeff and am really enjoying it. I recently bought the scale model flat-6 engine after assembling it, I have become obsessed with engine teardown/rebuild videos. I watched the entire Speed Academy turbo engine rebuild and found it very detailed and entertaining.

What Singer video are you referring to? I used to build the harnesses for Singer's back when they were in their infancy. I was not aware there was a video referencing the wiring harnesses unless it's the Chris Harris Drive Netwrok video from about 3 years ago?

On topic, I thoroughly enjoy watching the Team Boosted videos, especially since I was in roughly the same spot of the process of turbocharging my car as they were!

Jeff is great - I follow him already, here is his thread on pelican

For some reason I don't enjoy the Team Boosted videos as much as I enjoy Jeff's. I think its because Jeff seems like just a regular guy, like he could be your neighbor, and he does most projects with a reasonable budget and just a lot of skill and a lot of hard work.

But I will give the team boosted channel another look.

I agree, I think its a generational thing, but I give them a lot of credit for diving in to a full 911 motor rebuild! Worth checking out :).
