Vacuum leaks and idle

Well I found many vacuum leaks and fixed them all I think. Right now I'm trying to adjust my base idle. While adjusting I keep getting this annoying small backfire pop. Also when I bridge the A and C in the test area the idle with the jumper is higher than when I take out the wire. When I turn the air idle screw in or turn out, not a lot seems to happen. Also I notice the adjusting screw does not bottom out. So I understand that you turn the screw until both idles with test wires in and out, the idle should be the same. Thoughts please on the little backfire pops? Thanks

Bridge pins B & C.
Idle air screw should bottom out. Can you remove it and inspect? It may have some kind of anti-tamper head which is preventing it from turning.
Good luck,
Dave

Well I turned it a lot. I’ll check if it bottoms out. Min does not have a screw head. Mine is a little hex nut head that I adjust with a socket wrench

On the SCs you need to disconnect the ox sensor to adjust
You might try that on Carrera if you have problem that idle won’t correct.
