Leak down test if compression is good??
 

If compression is good 180-185 on all cylinders is leak down test going to tell you anything you don't already know. I understand if one cylinder is showing bad readings a leak down is helpful for diagnosing problem.
It seems it is standard procedure for a PPI; giving buyer a warm and fuzzy that all is good. But is it necessary other than psychologically? I'm sure there are lots of opinions.

I would say you are fine because the numbers are all high and even. HOWEVER, this would be if the tech cranked the engine the normal 4-5 compression strokes on each cylinder. I have seen a low cylinder pump up to close the other cylinders with a few extra cranks of the engine. With a compression test, all cylinders have to be tested the same. Also, don't overlook a vacuum test. Idle vacuum and deceleration vacuum readings tell a lot about the internals and cylinder sealing.

Also, if the relative oil consumption is within nominal limits and no apparent smoke on startup or otherwise, I'd likely conclude the motor is healthy and leak down numbers will only confirm it as such.

leak down is more for finding where the leak is, valves or rings.

I would not worry with those numbers especially if you have t pay for it.

now If you can do it yourself it does not hurt to have a baseline of your engine.

At a certain point, you're never going to make a prospective buyer comfortable enough. These cars are old and yours is in exemplary condition. If a buyer is scared off by a lack of a leakdown test at your car's mileage, they are never going to be comfortable enough to buy.
