have somebody measure the distance from the floor to your elbow. build the bench so that it is the perfect height for YOU when standing in front of it.
my Grampa (retired Sears Craftsman Tool Man in 1976) built mine with my assistance of course. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/wink.gif use 4x4 for the complete base and put a shelf in at the bottom. you can get heavy extra parts (trailing arms with rotors and calipers etc.) up off the floor for temporary storage. and of course 8 plug ins, 4 on each end. from SoCal, PoorBoy |
