Question HELP-Engine Lid cable release broke

How to open engine lid when the cable/pull doesn't work? Nothing actually broke, everything intact, but pulling on the T-bar, i can hear the lid latch swivelling, but not enough to open the lid. Any help?
This has happened before, and i 'shortened' the cable at its attachment to the lid release, but it keeps recurring, and now i cant' open it.
Thanks
Mike

Mike,
Try getting someone to pull on the release whilst you push the lid down then gently pull it up whilst the other person is still pulling the release. Worked for me before.
Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Saffs-i'll try this. What ended up being the problem, how did you fix it. Or do you *still* use this 2 man approach ?

Hatari-any idea how to gain access to the latch for the REAR lid?

Any other ideas?

THanks
Mike
