Picked up the most recent of issue of "911 and Porsche World" today at the local B&N and read a very nice review of Waynes new book, except the cover was different than the one shown on this site? I'll be picking up a copy now!

How odd. Why January? I'm actually anticipating that they will run out by January, and then there will be a few month wait until more are printed. It's been available about 6-7 weeks, and it's already sold more than half of the printed quantity. I suspect over the Christmas season, we'll sell at least as many as we have sold already, which means we'll run out in January...

By then, it won't be a first-edition, first-print run anymore...

Because if your SO is planning on buying it for you for Christmas, they would hint to not buy it - until January!

The book is great, but as an author, you're going about things all wrong....
Where is your book selling tour?

A famous author is supposed to be travelling around the country pressing the flesh and glad-handing all the admiring fans.

So you get a little blurb in some Limey rag (that you write for anyway).... big deal.
The masses should be reading about 101 Projects in a New York Times book review!!

With the deepest respect and admiration, I think you need a publicist before that second printing hits the shelves.

Last I heard, if you order them from Pelican you get it autographed. Mine is.

Wayne, your fame (book) has spread far and wide. Got the latest edition of Motorbooks LTD and saw the book in there. If you are going to do a book selling tour be sure and bring your tool box and you can set up a "huckster" stand like the folks that sell non stick pans or kitchen magicians. "And now folks" (in your best Gallagher imitation) "It slices ..it dices..it cuts julienne fries"! "What is it , you ask"? "Its the Dempsomatic"!

Hey!

Wayne's book arrived today! I just want to congratulate Pelican on their fantastic service and how well the book was packaged. No damage at all and even a complimentary CD-Rom.

The book is far better quality than I expected. The paper is thick and glossy and should bear oil smudges and the like really well. I'm looking forward to using it frequently.
