One more windshield question if I may-green tint or clear

After all the effort to take the car apart and get it painted it seems worth the extra research to make sure I get the windshield itself right.

For a 1974 with the windshield have been tinted from the factory? Is that generally the best way to go or is clear better? Is the green tint visible enough as a color on the car to make it noticeable on a slate gray car? What Is the Airspeed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow?

( that last one is strictly extra credit )

Thanks!

well, is the rest of your glass tinted or clear? you’ll want all tinted or all clear.

if you don’t have any glass, it’s your call. i personally like the tinted glass. it’s subtle, don’t think it’s going to affect how a color presents on your car...

Good morning, thanks for the response. Is the rear glass originally tinted as well?

all of the glass is available tinted or clear. unless somebody mixed them up, ALL the glass on a 911 should be clear OR tinted, not mixed.

it was an option...

the green tint is pretty normal from what I've seen.
I had a blue tinted windshield in my targa when i got it. I didn't even notice that the other glass was green until i went to replace the windshield and noticed.
If you can't tell, get a sheet of white paper and hold it up to the glass. If you have green tint it will be more obvious when looking at the hue of the sheet of paper.
