Re: Wheel Sizes for a 1975 2.7s
Hi All.. I would like to change my cookie cutters for some other wheels - Maybe cup 2's - 17"..... However I've had some conflicting info re the optimum size - particularly the rears - I don't have flared arches.
I have been advised I can fit a 7.5in rear with 235 tyres on the rear - However i then got told it would take a 9inch wheel with 235's - Would I have to roll the lip of the wheelarch to do this and does that mean re-painting etc... All help gratefully received as usual.. Ta.

If you don't have SC flares in the rear, none of what you mention will work. You're probably stuck with a 205mm wide tire on a 7x17 wheel - if you choose to go that route.
IMHO, 7x15s front and rear with 225/50-15s is a nice set-up for pre-'78 cars (non flared). These might take some fender lip rolling, etc., but it's minor. Good luck, Mike
