Simple wiring scheme for brake lights 77 carrera
Hi my friends.. trying like crazy to get this car done and presentable for vintage PCA race LRP NEXT WEEKEND. ITS A 77 LONGHOOD COUPE CONverted to 74 rsr full race car,,
one of many details is getting brake lights to work. its a 77 tub backdate to a 74RSR...crap thats repeating myself sorry shaun does it too so i feel better... but they kept the original wiring harness moderately intact and the PO recomended that i try to keep it intact just for resale value of a 77 loghood., which is clearly going up... but wtf..i am abandoning this approach, and its driving me fockin nuts....either you totally bag the whole friggin harness or you do not... thats what i learend from my last car at least. i need a race car thats all .. 4 0r five fusess and kill switch.... btw, to wit..... regardless of my medical/surgical Training, i am clueless about electron flow.... thats the problem . but i am confident that at some point i will have kevin lehmanns prostate in my hands in the OR and that focker will be damn well thinking that he should have bought pintos intstead of porsches long ago... JMHO.. .... but i digreess.... so i feel somewhat competent... lets hope for him... btw. THE FUSE BOX is a friggin birds next.. but, Pretty miuch the whole rear wiring harness was kind Left intact, at leaast going to the lights... incuding the multwire, pluggy things in the rear lights that somehow somehow talk to either the brAKE PEDAl or the pressure sensor of the mc... in looking at the mc it seems that many wires are festering off of there.... so after this pathetic post can any reccommend how i could easily tap into the rear brake light wires, make them talk to the simple PRESSURE SENSOR at the mc cyl. and make my ass look remotely competent. remember these are mostLY PCA RACER snobs, hailing from greenwich and westport and new canaan.... need i explain |
