78 SC Oil Lines
Hi All
I have removed oil lines from rear wheel arch thermostat and apart from nearly stripping thermo threads (which will need thread savers) i have damaged one of the long oil lines to front. see pictures below: does anyone know if these can be repaired? I dont fancy blowing $6-700 on a new one! any help appreciated. |

Maybe it could be brazed?

That looks like a collar brazed on the line. So the old one can be removed (ground off or sweated off). As long as you can obtain a similar fitting (maybe tricky) it can be brazed on.

I had a similar issue when working on my trombone cooler. You can sweat these off and reuse. I did have some new ones made out of brass that I installed also. Len Cummings supplied new 30 mm nuts for assembly.

See if one of the local shops has an old crushed line around and sweat an end off of it to use.
