What shocks are these?

My car came with the British OEM Porsche shocks installed (top blue) and the Bilsteins in a box.

The Bilsteins are about 1"shorter and are quite stiff. The part number on them is -

4050180H000

I searched that part number and came up with nothing.

Any guesses if the Bilsteins are correct for a 911?

Thanks,
Matt

Look like B6s or B8s? Other members will likely chime in.

The blue color appears to be a home paint job due to the overspray on the top of the shock rod.

Could not read the part numbers on the blue ones but you could research them by that. They appear to be factory shocks with the Porsche markings other than the color.

I think those blue ones have original color and are Woodhead shocks. Woodhead is a brand name for Boges made in England or something. My 82 SC hade those in rear as well .

That is my understanding as well.

The Bilsteins are the ones I'm unsure about.

You can purchase new Bilstein Sport (Yellow) or HD (Green) for your car. I had the woodheads (blue) on my 75 cali car. I replaced with Bilstein HD.
