Installing 6-point harness (mounting points)

Hi

I was wondering if someone could please be so kind and take some simple measurements for me;

1. In a SC or 3,2 911, measuring from the firewall below the backseat, how far forward are the "ears" used for the lap belt welded on the tunnel?

2. Again measuring from the firewall, how far forward is the out lap belt mount?

3. The anti-sub strap (ball crusher between your legs), again measuring from the firewall, how far forward have you welded the plates/bolts to the floor? I know this could vary a little depending on how tall you are, but I'm looking for general guidance.

Cheers!

Johan

Here are the specs from a 964/993 Cup. SC/Carrera will be the same

I strongly suggest following the instructions provided by the manufacturers of the belts. They can be very specific.

If you have belts with no instructions, it might be a good idea to contact the manufacturer.

I have Schroth's Profi harness: https://www.schrothracing.com/docs/Competition_Instructions.pdf

The measurements above from Bill will be a good starting/reference point

Schroth's instructions work well w/ the Cup specs for hard points

Main issue can be the shoulders,
1) you need seats w/ the shoulder holes in the right spot wrt the top of the Hans
2) the bar the shoulder strap wraps to needs to be the correct height wrt the top of the Hans

Also it's nice, if allowed, to use a sub strap bar instead of drilling holes in the floor

Seats will be Recaro Pole Positions

PP can be problematic because the shoulder holes are small, w/ very little latitude.
You need a straight fetch w/o any seat interference from the Hans to the bar.

Your situation will depend on your seated shoulder height and the height of the bar.
